Beware, a collector’s watch! Rolex Datejust Oysterquartz 36 from 1989 ref: 17000. Rolex’s efforts to develop their own quartz movement, one of a kind, make it a historic watch. The Oysterquartz models were produced in small quantities. In-house Rolex 5035 movement. This atypical design for a Rolex, with its angular lines, recalls the designs created by Gerald Genta at the time for Audemars Piguet and Patek Philippe with the famous Royal Oak and Nautilus.
All parts are original; this dial with Roman numeral hour markers is uncommon. Tritium hands in very good condition. The bezel and the case have been lightly polished, the latter showing good thickness and width with chamfers still well defined. The original bracelet is likewise unique and typical of the Oysterquartz. It is in excellent condition with no stretching.
